Videology advances the CCTV field with breakthrough TotalFocus™ technology—the TotalFocus™ lens–camera board combination creates a clear image from close up to infinity. Designed for situations where foreground and background information is as critical as a central focal point, TotalFocus™ automatically focuses every object in view—from closeup to infinity.

TotalFocus™ overcomes shortcomings of both autofocus zoom and varifocal lenses. Mechanical autofocus zoom lenses can be bulky and complicated with multiple moving mechanisms and specific life cycle ranges. Since Videology’s TotalFocus™ lens/camera board combo is a small simple “intelligent” device with limited moving parts it assures a long life. It’s compact size of just 1” diameter x 1 5/8” long makes it easy to fit into applications with tight space constraints. It is the ideal choice for vehicles, public view monitors, traffic monitoring and other applications requiring compact housings.
 
The TotalFocus™ lens/camera board combo outperforms varifocal lenses that cannot achieve a true zoom and are unable to maintain focus outside of a specific focal point. They must be manually refocused with every change in FOV. The TotalFocus™ is always in focus and can optically zoom up to 3X. The motorized zoom can be operated via remote control at a distance of up to 80 feet, or via a small on-board key control or RS485.

The 2.9 – 8.55mm focal length TotalFocus™ lens has 10X digital zoom in addition to its 3x optical motorized zoom. A robust DC auto iris automatically adjusts the iris for extreme lighting conditions.

Designed to operate with certain Videology board cameras, TotalFocus™ currently integrates with the 20B40X series of 1/3” Color CMOS Wide Dynamic Range Pixim Board Cameras. It will be integrated into several Videology dome lines. We welcome OEMs to integrate TotalFocus™ into their products.
