Scottsdale, AZ – (April 15, 2009) – LVC and Axis Communications announced a collaboration to integrate Axis network video technology with Lekson’s visual technology on December 12, 2008. Initial versions were unveiled at the NRF Big Show in January. The next phase of offering these solutions will be at IFSEC 2009. This will take place May 11th-14th at NEC Birmingham UK in the Axis Communications Stand E90. These Visual Displays are multi-purpose and convert analog to IP for companies transitioning to digital. This multi-function approach will provide the ability to serve Security/Loss Prevention purposes, deliver in-store Advertising and provide ‘Alert Messaging’ in the event of an Emergency. Combining these functions will allow companies to do more with less, reduce total cost of ownership, and improve overall return on investment.
“We continue to be on schedule introducing these solutions and look forward to receiving valuable input from those attending IFSEC”, says Gary Widman, president of Lekson Visual Communications. “We see this as another major step in our collaboration with Axis Communications to provide the industry an efficient and cost effective approach to deploying state of the art, multi-function IP visual displays, while enabling the transition from analog to IP”.
Phil Doyle, managing director of Axis Communications (UK) Ltd added, ‘We’re delighted to be able to welcome LVC to our booth at IFSEC 2009. The Visual Display solution has been developed to deliver a demonstrable Return on Investment through a combination of network video surveillance and value-add functionality such as in-store advertising and alert messaging. It appeals not only to Loss Prevention professionals but also to Marketing and Operations executives looking to derive benefit from one single investment.’
